Steak Nights and Small Victories
Cooking, for me, is more than just putting food on the table. It is something I genuinely enjoy and take pride in. Whether I am making steak, pasta, a seafood boil, fried rice, or just a simple plate of seasoned chicken, I put my full attention into it. I do not rush through it or throw things together just to eat. I cook because I love to cook. It is one of the few things that helps me slow down and be present.
Over time, I have realized that it is not just about the food itself. It is about how you approach the process. I take my time with every step. I season with care, taste as I go, and pay attention to every small detail. I cook with patience and love. I have noticed that when I give it my all, the food just tastes better. Maybe it is because people can tell when something is made with intention. There is a different kind of warmth that comes from a meal that was cooked with heart. That is what I always try to bring into the kitchen.Even when I mess up a dish or it does not turn out the way I pictured it, I still enjoy the experience. For me, it is not only about the final result. It is about learning, growing, and simply doing something that makes me happy. Cooking brings me peace and gives me a feeling of accomplishment. That is why I keep coming back to it. It never feels like a chore. It is something I choose to do because I truly enjoy it.
This mindset has started to show up in other areas of my life too. The focus and care I put into my cooking are the same things I try to bring into school, work, and my relationships. I want to be intentional with everything I do. Just like I am careful with the ingredients I use, I want to be thoughtful with the energy I bring into the world.

In the end, food is more than just something I eat; it has a deeper significance for me. It is a means by which I convey my love, my concern, and who I am. The way I cook is something I try to live by. with perseverance, hard work, and a good heart.
